Film Effect Animation
This tutorial will teach you how to make a film effect animation. I really like this
effect and its not that hard to do. If you want to see any example of this,
go to my Linkage page and look for a button with a yellow flower.Thats what we're going to make here.
I'm going to use the image below:

Open up an image in Photoshop. Now duplicate the layers 4 times. (ctrl+ J) Delete the background layer if you want. Your layers window should look something like this:

Make sure your first layer is selected. Now go to Filter>Artistic>Film Grain. Change your settings to match mine.

Okay now click on your second layer which is probably called 'Layer 1 copy'. Do the same as before except decrease the Grain setting by 5. Do this for the other layers. Don't forget to click on the next layer for each Film Grain setting! The setting for your last layer should be 0.
Now jump to ImageReady. (Shift+Ctrl+M) Go to your animation window. If you can't find it go to Window>Animation. Click on the little triangle on the right hand corner and select Make Frames From Layers. All your layers should appear in the animation window. Now change the time setting to whatever you want. I'm going to change it to 0.5 secs. You don't have to have the same time for each frame.
Want to see what it looks like? Press the play button to preview your animation! Now you can save your animation by going to File>Save Optimized As. Make sure the Save Type is 'Images Only (*.gif)'.
Ta-da! Your very own film effect animation. Here's how my animation turned out:
