SmartFTP Tutorial
Here is a SmartFTP tutorial for people who need to use a FTP
program to access their files on the net and have no idea how.
SmartFTP is really easy to use so this tutorial will be quick.
Download SmartFTP from here.
Install then open it up. Go to File> New Remote Browser. A window like the one shown below should pop up.

So all you have to do is fill in the details your host has given you and leave the 'Path' field blank. Then press Ok. You should be connected to your ftp file manager. If not, make sure you typed in the host, username and password correctly or contact your host (if you're hosted on a subdomain).
Okay now i'm going to show you how to transfer your files to your site. To open up your files on your computer, click on the 'Local Browser' icon. If you can't find it, here's a screenshot to help you out:

So now you should have a window open with all the files on your computer. Now all you have to do is locate your fies and drag it to your website file manager window.
To edit your file (text files), right click and select 'Edit'.
I hope this tutorial has helped you. Feel free to email me with any questions you have. =]
